Re: roadster rear spring
I just refreshed my rear springs on a sport coupe and what I found was I was missing a few leaves/leafs? Depending on how many leaves/leafs your car is supposed to have you oh should be able to take even a Tudor leaf and make it work by measuring the length of your existing leaves and dividing the distance?? I wouldn’t think the thickness would make much difference on one leaf? I say this assuming you don’t have access to another set of springs to pull from. I rearched mine and added two leaves and it rides much better but they are also lubed up now. I used a piece of webbing strap (greased) from a ratchet strap to go between the top leaf and the cross member. It cushions that area some and I believe was advised to do in Les Andrews book although it says body welting (I think).
