Wick, The two "nipple" bumpers are for the lip of the hood. There is one bumper on each cowl. It is fairly flat, the back was what I would describe as a round protrusion with part of it cut off. Photo attached.
Yeah, that probably makes no sense.

You will find two bumpers in the kit that are rather "tall". Those go on the grille cross brace, photo attached.

If you look closely at the wagon, you will note only one bumper had been installed at that time. I place one in one each side of the hood, opposite of each other and then trim that bumper(s) as may be necessary to get a great fitment on the hood.
I do one pair at a time so I know if one or the other (side) is causing a fitment issue.
