Default Re: Hood Bumpers

Wick: Here's the hood bumpers on my 40. Catalog is a 40+ year old DRAKE catalog. I had to trim the two taller (center) rubber bumpers on the front hood cross brace with a brand new safety razor blade so hood would snug down properly when latched. Trim them after they have been installed.

Also, I had to use a grommet with a lower profile head on the pass. side cowl (last photo) because the hood would sometimes "catch" on the edge of the stock grommet causing it to pull out and fly away to be forever lost. This won't happen if you keep a dab of grease on the head of that grommet. Hope this helps.
