According to Mummert's chart, a 55 239 in a pick up truck would be marked EBV, and would have smaller cam beatings and a 14 tooth distributor gear. it would also be produced at the Cleveland plant. The early 239 was produced at the Dearborn plant and has a larger diameter camshaft and has a 13 tooth distributor gear. to tell the difference, the 55 block would have a circle with a C stamped inside it. This designation would signify made at the Cleveland plant.
