Chicago never gets Texas hot. It sometimes gets TN and VA hot.
For what it’s worth, I’ve only used an airtex 6v pump for the last 10 years. It works excellently. Maybe it was a bandaid when I installed it, but after chasing out all the gas and electrical bugs, it works great.
