Why would a 60HP have a smaller pulley than the 85HP? Both have identical 6v electrical systems and both need to charge at the same rate.
In 1940 there were two different pulleys. The first (early) design was larger in diameter than the later design.
That had nothing to do with 60 or 85 applications.
