The IDOT is quick to pour thousands of tons of salt on the roads around here, even if there is predicted a 'hint' of possible 'frost' they go crazy. This week was no exception.
You can literally slide your car on the mounds of salt laying around, some at the intersections form speed bumps of salt.  |
Jeff, I'm way down in Southern Illinois. 50 miles East of St. Louis, MO. They get stupid with the salt here too. This winter has been unusual though. It's been pretty dry down here and not much salt has been spread on the roads. Or maybe they can't afford the salt now either? Anyway, spring is near.
