Re: What a deal!!
Back in the late 1950's / early 1960's 3 people, Mike Gentic, Phil Champagne, and Dave Ahearn, started an antique auto parts business, Age Old Auto Parts in Hartford, Connecticut Mike was a parts man at a local Ford dealership, and knew a lot of the right people. The 3 of them got into many Ford dealership to clean out old stock. They were the "go to guys" for early Ford parts. When re-development came through in the early 1970's, they went out of business. At that time, Russ Schaller ( RIP) and myself started "The Ford Store" in Manchester, Connecticut. We were able to acquire a lot of parts from the Age Old Auto Parts defunct business, but not everything. It was too bad that we didn't get everything. Unfortunately Russ and I had to shut down our business in the mid 1970's when the oil crunch hit, and people didn't spend their money on their hobby.
