Re: Brake pedal travels too far
Seems like you have a leak or air in the system. Look all the wheels and brake tubing connections for leaking and collapsed old hoses, then bleed the system starting with the point furthest away; which is either of the rears for the Ford, then right front and finally left front. I would look at the master cylinder connection first.
