New reproductions aren't as well made as the old original stuff. Some repro stuff is better than others as well. The headlight harness may or may not have the proper terminal ends soldered on but original types are available. They used a specific style of terminal to fit the bayonet plug sockets that are part of the conduit assemblies. New sockets are black plastic where the OEM stuff was hard rubber like what hair combs and steering wheels were made from.

The male to male connectors used in place of the bayonet connectors can be more difficult to disconnect than the original set up. I like the idea of the bayonet plug as long as it fits and functions well.
