As I remember our 1931, 1-1/2 ton had a top speed of twenty miles per hour, but could pull anything. I don't know the ratio of the differential but it had the four speed transition and 40hp engine.
One option offered at the time, would lower, not increase the speed. Fifty years ago, information wasn't available like today.
