Default Re: Fender

On my 1931 45B Coupe, there are reproduction steel fenders front & rear, and reproduction running board splash aprons. These were the best reproduction fenders & aprons in 1979 when I restored my Coupe, but they were difficult to fit. Especially difficult to fit were the front fenders to the running board splash aprons.
Having learned from the bad experience I had with my Coupe, I opted to restore a set of original fenders for my Victoria. In 2014, I spent $1200 in labor to have 4 original fenders restored ready for color from 6 derelicts. I bought the derelicts from club members and at Hershey at low prices because they were considered as junk. The restored fenders fit the Victoria whiteout a hassle!
I highly recommend restoring originals, but it takes a very good tin knocker to get it done right.
