I have a repro beehive and I noticed the inlet, which is marked is the opposite to the inlet on the Ford canister. I fitted a Ford canister piped as the beehive suggests and was told I had piped it backwards.

To be honest if I fitted the beehive I would pipe it as per the Ford.

Beehive states in at the bottom and out of the side.
Ford (French military in my case) is piped in the side and out of the bottom.

All the fittings are 1/8 NPT and will require brass adaptors to fit the 1/4" pipe fittings.
