if the alignment of the door to the A pillar is good, then don't move the door forward. I also believe the catch is aftermarket and not original. If it is stainless it is definitely aftermarket. It appears the upper screw is not down all the way which may be due to the countersink in the catch not being quite deep enough. A change to flat head countersink screws may help.
