The front bumper on my ‘51 had some surface rust, and I used Diet Coke and aluminum foil to clean it up. I was amazed at how much better it looked. Just crinkle up the foil, get it wet with the Diet Coke, and scrub the rusty area. There are a couple YouTube videos showing it.
