don't know if you're talking about a fordomatic but my '60 fordomatic leaked BAD out thru the torque converter seal. after multiple trips to the trans builder I convinced them the front oil pump bushing was shot.after dicking with it for almost 5 mo's, got parts back and finally no leaks.
