Re: Truck Transmission
The 4 speeds both AA and BB were made by Borg-Warner. Both have a "port" or blanking plate to mount a then newly standardized "standard" PTO.
The PTOs are even still available - although any antique auto flea market or even a farm auction can bring a serviceable unit at considerably less cost.
The truck transmission was available for installation in an automobile "subject to rough service or for use of a PTO." It is a unit about 4x the weight of the standard Model A three speed - but apparently not heavy enough to exclude it from auto service.
Typical pricing on a truck transmission is about on par with a Model A tranny. Perhaps $50 for an unknown condition "core", $100 for a removed from service, $450 for "renewed." (However done - might be new paint.)
