I have several pieces of bar stock with different size nuts welded to them for setting clutches.You weld the nut on with one of the flats so it looks like a flag.A lot of farm tractors read the measurement from the flywheel surface,not the top of the pressure plate.The top of pressure plates from different manufacturers may be for the same application,but different heights.
