'33'34 fuel sending unit conversation?

Pioneers with sage advice, the above topic?

I understand that the '33'34 fuel sender & fuel tank has a different threaded-hole pattern, so an electric fuel sender is not adaptable.(for use as an auxilliary fuel gauge.)
