with the standard bearing being .220" thick, you can calculate your clearances. I try to get .002" on the od and .0025 on ithe Id. I always save the old bearings I get before rebuilding. Some of the cad Nickle bearings would flake off under hi oil pressure. This happened during the first few years of racing when I was told to run the hi volume oil pump and #80 pressure. It also broke a cramkshaft cutit off in the filit radius of the crank "Cavation Erosin" The people in the test lad at Bullards said. Still have the picture. Making mistakes , makes you smarter!!
