I'm in the process of removing the cam from my '30 coupe. I'm into the valve spring area. The distributor has been removed. I've read Andrew's book about how to remove the spring on the distributor/oil pump drive but I must be having brain fade. I can't figure out what he means. He says to lift (drop?) the spring by half-an-inch, the spring will come out and the drive can be removed. I can't figure out how than can happen. Would somebody be able to help me with this? I'm stumped!

Once having got the spring and drive out does the oil pump drive just lift out?
