The summary? The car is judged against what it would have been when it left the factory and / or the dealership. There are exceptions. In example: a dealer often installed after-market accessories in order to boost profits. Sure, it left the dealer like that. However, the after-market accessories were not authorized by Ford and as such a deduction should be made for their inclusion now.
