Thanks Ernie - the information I have is that the engine was rebuilt about 1999/2000. It has about 4000miles on it. It was rebuilt with babbet bearings but milled and a modern rear seal put in. We have a couple of months before real cold sets in so there is a bit of driving time left. I will change to 20w50 and run it a few times and see what it sounds like and if anything changes in terms of losing more than a respectable drip.
