I'm not knocking Randy Gross and I'm sure the up dated steering gear he builds is first rate. However, if you rebuild your original (2-tooth or 7-tooth)
steering gear correctly. It will be just fine, maybe not as smooth & easy as your new auto. But, heck it is a 90 year old car! I'm the first person to admit
that I am no mechanic. Yet, I have rebuilt one 7-tooth and two 2-tooth "A" steering gears and they all turned out good. Take your time and always use
new bearings ,bushings, sector shafts and worm gears. I also use the shortened pit-man arms. Good luck.

PS: Never try and turn your steering wheel without the car moving or the front end jacked up. It is very hard on your steering gear.
