Lowe's typically has Hillman line on Aisle 1 that will probably be ok to use. While I feel sure they will have stainless fasteners too, don't get overly excited about the need of using stainless. The majority of your car is not stainless, -and since you are not worried about it being authentic looking, just get whatever type of machine screws you can source locally.
