Default Re: smokey flathead

I have been dealing with the exact symptoms for the past week. Oily fumes filling the cab of my truck. Eyes watering, clothing reeking of those oily fumes. I searched 'fumes' in the search bar. After reading many posts, I decided not to go the pcv route and just plumb a 5/8 hose between the breather cap and the base of the air cleaner. No valve. I could not be happier with the result. Just drove 50 miles, not the slightest hint of a smell. You do need to make sure there is a flame arrestor in the cap or tube somewhere for backfires. There are many ways to skin a cat, just saying this worked for me yesterday.
