If you are talking about the switch on the end of the steering box, there is a wire bail that holds he switch on the box. Move that to the side, grab the round housing and twist and pull. the lower part (where the wires enter) should come loose. You will see the brass contacts in the round black plastic disc. Chances are the steering box has leaked and covered it with 600W Clean all the parts. In the diagram above, check for continuity in the tail light portion.
