My 47 tonner came from the mountains in Northern California and is very dry underneath. I recall that the blocks are in excellent shape. I will crawl under it tomorrow and take some dimensions after work. Maybe earlier if I can get away. Most oak we find today is red oak which does not hold up well in our damp climate. White oak is far better, but locust has the density of the oaks and far outlasts any oak in a wet environment. I have a bunch of thick white oak and black locust planks if you want some of that instead. PM me and we can talk.
