When I replaced some CE shackles I used Pinto/Bobcat. I recall that I called a CE dealer and he told me that's what they used. Another option is the moly-nylon shackles that are used by TCI in their parallel leaf kits.
As for shocks I measure the ride height and then use some old shock books that I have to look up the mountings and the extended and compressed length. As I recall early VW bus may get you real close. A good Napa store(which I have) should be able to look up the shocks just like I do, as I use an old Napa book and an old Monroe book. Since parts stores get new books frequently you might ask if they will give you one of their old shock books. They are some of the handiest books I have.
