To reiterate ( that's one of my fancy college words), you do not press the seal all the way to the bearing. You want some space between bearing and seal so bearing can "float". Press seal in just far enuff ( another college wurd) to clear the snap ring.

Never thot about it but the idea to grind off the backwards bevil so snap ring pliers will work is a good one. thnks. ken
