Actually rusty if you follow what Brian French said it will easily come out . The housings arealuminum and you won't have any issues with rusting . Just remove the washer type insert onear the threads by gently prying one side and then the other and it will come out easily. Use a needle nose pliers to pull the shaft out
Clean,remove all trace of grease and you. An lightly bead blast. If you do so you must now all media out and I use a liberal amount of brake clean to spray the passage and cavity . Use grease to reassemble
