Default Re: Smaller Diameter Steering Wheel

I noticed that the '30-31 cars have 17" steering wheels while the '28-29 have 17.5" steering wheels. Can a '30 wheel be put on a '29 Phaeton?

I know 1/2" is not much but it could help a bit plus a little extra angle by installing a '30 steering column support and trimming/removing the original lower support.

I'm surprised that 16" wheels are readily available in the after-market.
Reduced diameter (-1") original looking steering wheels are available for 55-57 Chevrolets and 65-66 Mustangs.
