Back before the beginning of time (early '60s) I went to a glass shop in Las Cruces NM and had them make me a window for my '53 Merc. They had all the templates on a paper roll of some sort, laid a piece of glass on top of it and cut it out, polished the edges and sent me on my way. Glass fit perfectly.
