On one of my roadsters, I had the same problem. After constantly adjusting the clutch, I found that the adjusting nuts on the pressure plate fingers had not been locked down and were way out of adjustment. This could be easily seen through the inspection plate on top of the bell housing. This was a rebuilt pressure plate and the nuts on the fingers were not peeded to keep them from rotating. If the clutch adjustment does not ssolve the problem, I would look in the inspection cover to at least check things out.
