Re: Hand Throttle
With the engine not running, have someone press the gas pedal down inside the car while you look at the carburetor. See if the gas pedal will open it all the way. If not, gently, with your fingers, bend the long thin arm of the throttle assembly (the one that connects to the carb) toward the front of the car. Just a little at a time. Until the gas pedal will open the throttle plate all the way. Once you fix that, the hand throttle should behave more like normal.
