Local auctioneer that goes to our church told me that Illinois proposed a sales tax a number of years ago for items sold at auction and that went down in a big ball of flame, crashed and burned. Never brought up again.At least that was one good thing that came out of Springfield
same thing has occurred at Hershey over the years....... small time vendors have run away. Dennis Carpenter was clever enough to circumvent PA sales tax-you go to his booth, look at the part and pick up one of the many phones present and make a call to his place in the Carolinas and order the part..............................
