I think the cast ones were for the 11 inch clutch originally but they will work for the smaller ones just fine. Definitely a truck part for sure. Some of the Mercury ones have a flange on the starter plate that bolts to the aft bottom edge of the oil pan but this can be removed if not needed. If you see one with this then you can tell it's from a Mercury car.
