Default Re: "Unrestored Original" - except for paint, upholstery, top, plating

PRG999, Post # 17: "I have two questions on the car:
1. Is the firewall supposed to be black
2. What would be a general fair price for it?"

The firewall should not be black - it should be the same color as the rest of the body.

It is dangerous to make a statement of worth without actually seeing and driving the car. But my 'shooting from the hip', "general fair price" based on what the photos show and assuming the validity of the description, I would say the "general fair price" would be somewhere in the vicinity of $25,000.

While the car is most certainly not "an amazing un-restored original", the car certainly is a very nice example of a fairly rare Model A; one that most people (including me) would characterize as "an older 'frame on' restoration". A more common body style in this car's condition would probably be in the $15,000 range. So this car gets a $10,000 price increase due to its unique rarity.
