T,
Pull the stand and pump off as an assembly. Remove the pushrod and look
at both ends. The ends should be shiney and not torn up....the length should
be 8 7/8" if you have an iron intake or 7 7/8 if you have an alum intake. Usually the
pump is kaput, worn out arm, rotted or partially rotted diaphragm. With everything
reassembled but the stand NOT attached to the intake and the pushrod in it's highest position you should have a .200 gap bet-
ween the bottom of the stand and intake using a very slight pressure to take up
any slack in the pump linkage. Any ????? call me at 716 440 8952.
