Default V8 Service Bulletins

In My stash of Ford stuff I found some old service bulletins from the good old days. Since I have been mesmorizied by my 11A distributor I recorded the following:

The ford system is designed to work on 4 volts

At maximum compression speeds, the current in the secondary is reported to be 0.5 ma. Maximum compression is defined as hard acceleration at low speeds. At higher speeds, compression is lower and so is secondary current.

Before any tests are done, the coil should be energized for 5 minutes to "gently" warm up the coil. Points need to be closed the bulletins advise.

If there is a coil problem that creates "stumble", the coil can be changed depending on the owners driving habits.

I will report more as I find them.
