Hey Carl,
I have same 'space constraints' problem. Haven't figured it out yet, but working on differing ideas. I ask this same question some time back, without much input and/or pictures. One seemingly good idea, was to hang the V8 type canister on the firewall and plumb to that. I'm not in like with the look of that...yet , but it did the job for the guy who pictured it.
I'm wanting to use the '32 fuel pump that Henry provided very nicely. But, my header tubes and valve cover plate with oil filter both hang over the pump opening area. I'm looking at Tod's new cast iron header to solve the exhaust part, put still haven't solved the filter part. Here is a picture that may solve part of the 'remote' placement problem. If you look closely at my current B engine filter area, you MAY be able to see pump cover ? BTW , this pictured B valve cover is the cleanest solution to full oil pressure plumbing that I've ever seen. Just covers the darn pump hole !

If you figure a good solution, please let know what you did,eh
