Default Re: E 28 Phaeton on epay

Thanks for posting the Ebay ad. Such tid-bits enrichens the forum.

Nice to see BF Goodrich tires - an original brand that is seldom seen on Model A's. (I've got them on my '28 Phaeton).

The eBay 'Early' '28 (actually, it looks to be more of a mid-year to me, just before the door handles went on) has the later 'Long' generator (vs. correct Powerhouse), modern spark plugs, etc. It also lacks the 'squeeze' E.Brake handle that an 'early' '28 should have. Hubcaps look to be reproductions, overall plating seems to be chrome, not nickle. Etc. Nit-picking to be sure - I only mention it because the seller says the car is a "Show Quality" 'Show Car' - not "An excellent restoration", as it really is. And it certainly CAN BE a 'Show Car', but just not in the top two classes - unless it is a local, Non-Judging Standards, car show. An excellent restored 'driver', but a long ways from a top contender at a MARC / MAFCA National Meet.
