In my studied opinion, the FlowKooler Robertshaw 330-160 is the best thermostat for the 8ba.



It's a high flow thermostat that allows much higher flow in the hot weather for better cooling than the stock thermostats. Yes, even better than the STANTs that I recommend for the 59A. (The Robertshaw's don't work in that engine.) Available from Summit Racing here: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bra-330-160 Also available in 180° and 195° if you like to run hotter than Ford specified.

You can tell just by looking which ones let more water through. It may be no big deal in Wisconsin but it sure is in the Rocky Mountains and deserts where I drive.
