21A is the prefix assigned to the 42-47 1/2 ton pickup. Prefixes in the 40's and 50's can be frustrating. 8A is for 49 Ford, 8M is for 49 Mercury, A01 is for 41 Ford 81T is for 38-47 1 1/2 ton truck. AB seems to be a prefix thrown in at random after 48. Good luck keeping it all straight as I likely messed up some of what I typed. Rod
