Good Eye! I used what I had. Yes the Trans has a cast date code 2-13-31.The tower is the early one without the threaded cap. It came with the later style threaded cap so that's what I used. The Pin I made goes deeper into the slot where it was not worn much. I was going to weld it up but only the outer .080 of the slot was real worn out.
I wish I had the original cap for it. I also used standard not hardened pins so it will wear the pins out first and not the shifter. I made the pins from 1/2" rod from Home depot.
