I'm running a willys jeep distributor on my B engine and I love the way it performs. I made a timing degree marker behind the pulley and I can time it with my timing light.

My 29 panel measures 1-1/8" high while my 31 measures 1/2 inch. It appears you are trying to use a 30-31 panel on your 28-29 body.

Good questions Brent, I don't know why the groove is cut like that but my guess was someone peened over a plug at one time and needed to remove it so they cut a slot for a screwdriver to try and get...

Just be careful not to get the exhaust pipe too close to the fuel line on the drivers side or you will have vapr lock issues.

Got it apart by attaching a ratchet strap to the rear axle bulling backwards and a come a long on the engine pulling forward and driving the u joint forward through the grease hole in the torque tube...
