as both Vilanar & 51MERC-Ct indicate I have been using a threaded vacuum port in center base on intake under center carb & will probably go back to that setup. Just thought I might need a filter on...

I run Tri power on an 8BA. Had pvc valve pulling crankcase fumes from crankcase vent tube to vacuum fitting on intake manifold. I removed for unrelated issue then rethought putting on the same way...

That does look good Allen! Is the cab the same as the 1/2 ton pickup? I’ve got the ‘42 - ‘46 1/2 ton cab, frame, bed & rear fenders, which is what I want the front end 4?

Thx Mart, I have the cab & chassis already. Looking for a nose clip & a guy had one from a 1 ton. Thought I’d check w more knowledgeable guys than myself��.

Pictorially the ‘42-‘46 1/2 ton PU truck cabs & fenders look similar to the 1 ton, but I’m guessing theyre different between the 1/2 ton PU & the 1 ton trucks & not interchangeable?

I have a ‘35 w a ‘39 Tranny & that case also has 48-7XX casting #. My eng is an 8BA. His is A 59A correct for a ‘35. He wants to use the correct casting # tranny case for a ‘35. I know all the 59A’s...

Helping a friend buy a 1935 trans case for the larger V8. Found one w a casting # of 48-7XX on lower rear left next to tail shaft hole. Is that a correct case casting for the 1935?

Tranny for 60 hp Flatty

I’m 95% sure the 60hp & 80hp versions of the Flatty’s use the same tranny, is that correct?

Thx 38bill, I checked out the Horky site & like the bolt-less skids with a built in track to slide tee bolts to any location. the clean look is nice.

Thx, lengths I don't think will be an issue. It was the bolt holes provided on strips lining up with cross supports. They do make with no bolt hole strips to be drilled. guess I'll go with them.

Getting ready to buy SS PU truck bed hold downs. Bed is a ‘41 frame is a ‘42 -‘47. Only ones I see listed anywhere either for pre ‘41 or post ‘48?

Did u use the procedures outlined in posts here and other places for "steps to start an engine that's been sitting a long time" before u turned it over the first time?
