Deluxe Roadster Question

Even though the deluxe roadsters upon introduction in 1930 (my only reference on this subject is the dealer letter on pg 80 of how to restore your model a vol 6) came with a rumble seat as standard...

Commercial Bodies question

For all you commercial body enthusiasts/experts, this question deals with aftermarket bodies, specifically York. When these companies were producing bodies from 1928-31 were they essentially the same...

Re: 1925 roadster

And if the list I found is correct the mag was rewound. I have a camera but I'm going to have to find the cord. In the meantime I still have to sell my parents on keeping the car. They don't think...

Re: 1925 roadster

I'll have to check, I haven't pulled the car out of the barn yet so I'll have to look at it next time I'm over there. Pretty sure they were sliver though.

1925 roadster

I just bought my first model t, a 1925 roadster. It's been in a barn disassembled for twenty years. The last owner passed away before he finished restoring it. It comes with a stash of parts as well...

Re: Motor UPDATE!!! It aint pretty

No need to cut up any good cars! It sounds like like multiple problems occurred and it would be impossible to blame any single person. As Henry Ford said "don't find fault, find a remedy" If the...

Re: Edison Car update from Gilmore Museum

IMOHO Many cars should be left the way they were when they were in daily use, like the one in the picture and the Edison car. Any one read/ see this before;...

Re: Edison Car update from Gilmore Museum

Regardless the only people who would've made such changes would've been Edison, his family, or The Henry Ford. And more likely than not I believe it wouldn't have been the latter. So wouldnt it have...

Re: Edison Car update from Gilmore Museum

I thought Edison's widow donated it to the Henry Ford museum in 1943? I'm probably wrong. I also read somewhere it had a goatskin interior installed instead of the artificial leather. Is that true?

Re: 1931 Sport Coupe

Ive Never seen it before, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. If not from the factory it could've been installed at the dealer. Might have even been done at the factory. It would be neat to know.

Re: When did full-blown Model A restoration begin?

Would've had to been after WW2 wouldn't it? Even if they did completely do what we would consider a restoration before that it wouldn't have been considered a restoration, and they probably wouldn't...

Re: Deluxe Tudor

There were a lot of neat foreign made body styles. I know in one of the How to restore your model a books there was a photo of an English made four door convertible sedan of sorts.

Re: Deluxe Tudor

The deluxe Tudors were only offered in 1931. To my knowledge most (if not all) were indented firewall cars. In addition to the arm rests and cowl lights they also had a dome light, and the interior...

Glad to hear about the switch. Can't say I was a big fan of the old forum. I imagine it will be awhile before they get the hang of things although if they listened to you the process would be sped...

Re: Model T... all 12 volt all the time.

It's amazing how something beautiful can be made from what someone else considers garbage. Henry Ford himself would've been proud of such a great example of recycling. I haven't had much time to be...

Can't say I've ever noticed the beautiful wood dash you have in the speedster before- guess I haven't been paying close enough attention- looks fantastic anyway!

Re: They are still, and continue to 'be out there'

I had a science teacher whose mother has a 21 roadster in her barn. It was her husbands before he died. Last I knew it was still there
