PM me your info and I can tell you my story. I have a 28 Phaeton with two belts in rear, and one in front. Not ideal, but useable.

I installed FHT kit a few year’s ago. No problems in 15000 miles. I would try to find which wheel is locking by driving on a gravel area and applying the brakes....

Took me awhile to get to the garage. My hinges don’t look like the ones shown by others on this thread. The car was restored around 1955, so th hinges may not be original.
