You're located in a fantastic area for flathead component service. You have a great neighbor in Skip Haney.

Re: Crab rebuilder Punta Gorda

I believe Skip Haney, the guy who rebuilds coils and water pumps, could rebuild your distributor and he lives in Punta Gorda.

Re: Tire size 1937 ford pickup

larger tires will also affect the fitment of the spare tire, for whats it's worth. I do like 6.50x16's on pickups.

Re: Axles 1939 Pickup ??

I would be inclined to replace them. If you were closer I have a complete '39 rear axle assembly I'd sell you very reasonably.

Re: Protecting a bare block

I figured if you just have the block hot tanked and magnafluxed, even if you used cosmoline, your machine shop will have to clean the block further and machine it. So clean up would be as easy as...

Re: Protecting a bare block

Re: Carburator problem, I think

I suppose you could start by pulling one plug wire at a time to see if/what cylinders are getting fuel and aren't. It's a start. If it is idling rough and you you pull a plug wire and no change or...

Re: 1939 pickup 1/2 ton Distributor

Contact Micheal Driskell at Thrid Gen Automotive. He will set you up with a rebuilt distributor, tested and ready to run, or just the parts. Either way.

Re: Bat piss

I had two bats in my garage years ago. I left the door open one night and they came in and would not leave. They were in the corner of the garage. I shot them with a pellet gun. Problem solved.
